Chapter Three: The Three of Wands — See, My Ships Have Sailed

The process of making the decision was calmer than she had imagined. It wasn't a fierce battle with fear but more like a natural maturation. After the careful deliberation of the Two of Wands, Elara chose the unknown ocean.

She submitted her resignation. Under the wistful or confused gazes of her colleagues, she packed up her small workspace and walked out of the gray building she had once thought she would spend her entire life in. When she stood in the sunlight, there was no confusion, only an unprecedented lightness.

She didn't immediately dive into frantic development. Instead, she took a month to refine the rough prototype and create a compelling introductory video for it. She bet all her savings on this small ship that was about to leave the port.

Then, on a night filled with stars, she uploaded her project—Ember—to one of the world's largest independent game crowdfunding platforms.

The moment she clicked "publish" was like pushing the first ship out to sea.

This is the state of the Three of Wands. It's no longer personal contemplation but the extension of action.

Elara's life became a long period of waiting and watching. She was no longer a lord who built things behind closed doors but a merchant standing on the shore, an explorer waiting for an echo. Her "goods"—her creativity, her passion, her hard work—had been loaded onto the ship and were sailing toward the vast and unfamiliar world.

The first thing she did every day was open the crowdfunding page.

Day One: Only a few friends offered symbolic support. The sea was calm and quiet, as if it had swallowed her small ship without leaving any echo.

Day Three: An international indie game blog discovered Ember. They wrote a short review: "A minimalist poem about light and courage." This article was the first reconnaissance ship to return, bringing news from afar.

Week One: The blog's link was shared on a large gaming forum. The crowdfunding amount began to climb at a visible rate. More ships appeared on the horizon, laden with the goodwill, encouragement, and real monetary support of strangers.

Day Ten: A famous game video blogger live-streamed a playthrough of the Ember prototype. After controlling the beam of light to burn itself away again and again until it finally lit up the last slumbering obelisk, he fell silent for a long time. Then, he spoke to his audience of millions: "It's been many years... since I've played a game that moved me this much."

That night, Elara's computer crashed from the sudden influx of too many notifications.

She simply turned off the computer and walked out onto her balcony. The city nightscape unfolded before her like a sparkling ocean made of countless lights. She could almost see countless data-ships sailing toward her from all over the world. Her project, her will, was creating real ripples in the world she had once only been able to watch from afar.

She stood there, looking just like the traveler in the card. With his back to us, he gazes into the distance. He is not waiting in confusion but anticipating with confidence. He knows that the three ships he sent out will not only return safely but will also bring back a brand new future full of infinite possibilities.

Elara's journey had just begun. But she knew she had successfully transferred her inner fire into the world.

Her gaze was steady and far-sighted.

Because she saw a fleet of golden sails, formed by the hopes of many, rising on the horizon.
