Chapter Five: The Five of Wands — Smoke and Friction

Where there is a gathering of flames, there is bound to be smoke.

As the development team began to take shape, disagreements followed. Some argued that the gameplay should be simpler to highlight the "poetic nature of light." Others insisted on adding complex mechanics to make the game more replayable. Still others questioned her leadership, finding her too emotional.

The meeting room was no longer just filled with laughter and passion. It was filled with heated arguments, slammed tables, and doors being slammed shut.

Elara felt like she was standing in the middle of a battlefield, surrounded by young warriors clashing their wands. They all carried a flame, but these flames collided, creating sparks but also leaving scars.

This is the energy of the Five of Wands: competition in chaos, creation in friction.

One night, she sat alone in the empty workspace, looking at the unfinished code, a flicker of doubt in her heart: could she really lead this group of people to the finish line?

However, she remembered that initial flash of lightning. It hadn't come to give her comfort; it had come to make her burn. So, she decided not to suppress the conflicts but to navigate them. Friction is a necessary fuel for a flame to grow.
