Chapter Eight: The Eight of Cups — Walking Away

For a while, Leo chose to run away.

He suddenly accepted an overseas exhibition invitation and left the city. It was a distant seaside city with a biting sea breeze and an empty exhibition hall. He kept himself busy there, creating, socializing—everything seemed full, yet something was missing.

Late at night, he stood by the sea, watching the moon float on the dark ocean. He suddenly understood: he had carried eight cups to this place, but he still felt empty.

Because he didn't have the courage to find the ninth one.

So, with the sound of the waves, he decided to turn and walk away. He would leave these seemingly glorious but hollow achievements behind to find a place that would truly bring him peace.
